Consistent wound closure depends on more than completing the correct suture pattern. Needle angle, bite depth, spacing, approximation, and knot security all influence the finished closure, making repetition an important part of learning the technique. The Pocket Nurse® Suturing Skills Practice Pad allows learners to work through these individual elements while progressing across different suture patterns and closure methods. Completed sutures can be evaluated for consistency and placement before the pad is reset for another attempt. Use the pad for introductory suturing instruction, surgical skills labs, technique review, or additional repetitions where learners need to focus on a specific aspect of wound closure.
