Straight-Blade Control Across a Range of Veterinary Airways

Unlike a curved Macintosh blade, the Miller blade’s straight profile is designed to lift the epiglottis directly during airway visualization. This technique can be particularly useful in smaller veterinary airways where there may be less room to position and manipulate a curved blade. Three available sizes allow clinicians and veterinary programs to build out their intubation setup around different patients. Size 2 is suited for small-to-medium dogs and large cats, size 3 steps up to medium-to-large dogs, and size 4 provides the additional reach needed for large and giant breeds. Fiber-optic illumination delivers light through the blade when paired with a compatible handle. Because each blade is disposable, there is no repeated sterilization cycle to manage between patients or gradual degradation of an on-blade bulb from repeated reprocessing.
