4-0 Nylon for Veterinary Wound Closure

Suture size affects handling, tissue interaction, and the precision required during closure. A 4-0 nylon configuration provides a finer non-absorbable option for exercises where controlled needle placement and consistent wound-edge approximation are important. The attached N-C6 needle allows the complete suturing sequence to be addressed, from loading and controlling the needle through tissue passage, strand management, and knot formation. The 18" strand provides working length for common interrupted and continuous closure exercises. Using 4-0 nylon alongside other suture sizes and materials also helps demonstrate how suture selection changes based on tissue, wound location, and the demands of the closure.
